HUGS AND CARROTS - The phrase means "Good Things" and is meant to engender warmth and inspire luck, with an equine twist. It started innocently enough as a way to sign off emails to my Pony Pals in a horse-y way. Then, like most vegtable based things, it g-r-e-w!

While visiting with one of the Pony Pals in my neighborhood, I saw her sporting a really cute handmade ribbon belt. That's when inspiration hit! What a really cool way to recycle those horse show ribbons into a fun and beautiful accessory.

I enlisted the able assistance of my friend, Donna. A master seamstress, Donna's crafty ways, nimble fingers and state of the art sewing machine would be the perfect matches for all those ribbons I win. (Not that winning ribbons is a hardship, mind you, but there are only so many surfaces you can cover with them in your own home and barn!)

Now, I do my part - win ribbons - and Donna does hers - assemble them into functional equestrian accessories. Together, we're "Hugs & Carrots!"

The Main Ingredient

PATTERN, COLOR, TEXTURE - We can make any size, with any combination of ribbons. You can customize it all or select from one of our ready-to-wear professionally created ribbon belts.   The horse show ribbons are first layered with a fusable webbing, then sewn to a luxurious and decorative ribbon for a reversable backing.

***Sequined Crystals Metallics Polka Dots Stripes Solids Plaids Velvet***

You can pick the combination of horse show ribbons, pattern, and backing ribbon - the only limit is your imagination and my success in the show arena! For a truly special belt (not to mention taking a little pressure off of me!), you can supply your own hard earned ribbons and we'll assemble your custom piece to your exact liking.
