Rodney Ready on
Blondies Copper Wolf
(1960-1971)

Oakwood Quarter Horses is a top notch breeding and training facility driven by passion for Palominos and experienced in raising Champions and National Top-Ten Horses. We may just have what you're looking for!

Rodney Ready has been a dominant force in the development and promotion of Palomino horses for over forty years. He's been an active part of PHBA since before they handed out membership numbers! And, he passes his knowledge and love of horses on: two of his sons are now professional horse trainers. Back in 1968, Rodney helped to charter the South Carolina Palomino Exhibitors Association.  He has served as President for many of the years since it’s beginning. SCPEA is still active and growing to this day.

< Left: While Rodney deserves the credit for getting this whole "Palomino thing" off the ground, his wife, Terry, also plays an active role. Along with helping run the business end of things, Terry finds time to work at a veterinary clinic, help shoe, and enjoys showing at Halter. Terry was the President of the PHBA Amateur Association for the 2002-2003 season.

> Right: As for the life of a horse trainer's daughter, Lauren Flynt-Ready would probably tell you it's a lot less glamorous than you might think!
